Shaun Farrell is the man who has sat across the interview table from presidents and kings. Of science fiction. Now, live from Singularity Audio Studios in San Diego, California (via Skype. Mostly Skype), he welcomes Matt Wallace and Mur Lafferty onto Adventures in Sci-Fi Publishing. That’s right. The Year of M&M took it over. The podosphere is merely an afternoon game of Risk to us, motherfucker.
First up, Shaun and I discuss podcasting your way to publication, the root of my obsession with writing ultra-violent prose, the validity of licensed fiction and media tie-in writing, and I pimp everything but your sister. Stick around after that for thirty more minutes of awesome as Shaun calls down the thunder that is Mur Lafferty. That’s right. Mur is the main event, and one of the only authors in any genre of fiction for whom I willingly curtain jerk. They discuss the impending release of Mur’s first novel Playing for Keeps by Swarm Press and her even more urgently impending debut as the newest columnist for SuicideGirls, among other things. She also whines about how I ruin her high-falutin’ artistic concepts with cheap cunnilingus references and pie.
Guilty.
In the show notes you will notice a very attractive Amazon.com buy button for The Next Fix. Hinthint, jackass.
Oh, I also didn’t say “fuck” once during my segment. I know, right? Don’t act like you aren’t horribly fucking impressed.
